SOUS CHEF Location: Cape Town – 4-Star Hotel Salary: R25,000 per month Experience: 6–7 years’ experience JOB DESCRIPTION A 4-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with the daily running of the kitchen, support the Head Chef and lead the team in producing consistently high-quality cuisine. KEY REQUIREMENTS • 6–7 years’ professional chef experience • Previous Sous Chef or strong supervisory experience • Hotel or high-volume kitchen experience • Strong leadership and organisational skills • Excellent knowledge of food preparation and presentation • Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff • Ensure food is prepared to the required standards • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and hygiene • Assist with stock control and ordering • Support training and development of junior chefs cription
